The practice of smudging has long been exercised by our ancestors, in some cultures, thousands of years. There is a scientific basis that demonstrates certain plant matter when burnt in a room is able to kill off a variety of harmful bacteria due to it’s various constituents, effectively cleansing the area.
Traditionally this practice has been done with the intention of dispelling negative spirits and vibes from an individual or an area and used for ceremonial purposes.
